3. "The Sun’s Apparent Daily Motion" (2-5) East-west motion of the sun explained in terms of the earth’s rotation.
4. The Northern Lights (4-Adult) The causes and effects of the Aurora Borealis are explained with beautiful video and still images accompanied by music only.
5. "Why Do We Have Seasons?" (K-6) Following the rising and setting of the sun at the beginning of each season; discussing the colors of the sky at different times of the day; showing the earth in relation to the sun.
6. "Voyage To The Planets" (2-8) A guided tour to each of the nine planets. This show’s contents are continually being updated and can be adapted to any grade level. Since new discoveries have been made beyond Pluto in the Kuiper Belt, this program lasts (at least) 90 minutes @ $3.50 per child. (short form @ $ 2.50 for one hour)

21. "Mars and the Search For Life" (4-Adult) Why we are so fascinated with Mars and wish to go there.
22. "The Explorers" (4-Adult) Curiosity has motivated people to explore the unknown, from ancient Polynesians using the stars to sail across the wide Pacific to modern explorers traveling to Mars.
23. "Innerspace" (8-Adult) Using the unique capabilities of the planetariun, we see the human body’s ability to fight disease. (Health)

26. “Day and Night" (K-2) Rotation of the earth makes light and darkness; the sun, moon, and stars come out.
27. “WSKY: Radio Station of the Stars” (5-Adult) Produced by and shown at the Boston Museum of Science Charles Hayden Planetarium, this program is presented in the style of a radio talk show. Astronomy information is given through cosmic news, traffic and weather reports, and pop music. Listener call-in segments provide answers to some often-asked questions about astronomy and outer space.
28. “Ringworld” (3-Adult) Come with the Cassini-Huygens satellite to explore the mysteries of beautiful Saturn, its rings, and many moons in this multimedia NASA produced planetarium program.

common theme in the
Winter Solstice, the Christmas Star, and the candles of Hannukah and
Kwanzaa, all celebrated during this time of the year.
