Parents
and Administration Communicate for Education
The purpose of PACE is to support the school department in its efforts
to provide the children of Danvers with a high quality education. PACE
can make recommendations to the superintendent, and advise the
superintendent on system wide matters of concern. PACE also gives the
Parent Advisory Councils from each school the opportunity to share
plans and accomplishments with each other.
PACE
serves as a vehicle for the superintendent and staff to explain the
department's new programs and policies while involving parent members
in the formulation of such programs and policies. PACE also serves as a
vehicle for School Councils to report on progress with their school
improvement plans.
PACE
meetings are open to the public and are held in the Dunn Conference
Room monthly on the first Friday at 9:00 A.M. To insure representation
from each school, two or three PAC representatives are appointed to
attend these meetings. Also in attendance are the Superintendent of
Schools, Assistant Superintendent, and one Principal from both the
elementary and secondary schools. These members receive monthly minutes
and agendas to share with their schools.
